( fingers raked through orange locks to ensure no bits of cantaloupe remained, and a brow quirked subsequently - still a bit soured from the comment on his hair. truly, no matter how many times people bring it up and how used to it he was by now, most days it doesn’t bother him any less than it did back in elementary school. )
“So, you came over here just to bug me about my hair and tell me about cantaloupes?”

There’s no waver of emotion; no sign of joking upon a scarred visage. When she responds, the pirate is being fully honest and such is obvious upon her countenance.
❝Exactly.❞ Response comes in light hearted tune, cranium cocking to the left. ❝Is that strange of me t’ do? I was under the impression there ’re much nosier people than me.❞ With smile etched upon visage, the woman straightens. ❝Wan’ some cantaloupe?❞
“… So you walk around carrying cantaloupe pieces or what, because that’s all kinds of weird.”
( and the aforementioned fruit is swiped off his head. )

❝Nah. I just peeled some cantaloupe fer’ some kids. Cantaloupe skin has some uses, y'see? So I kept it.❞
Said fruit skin is plucked forth betwixt calloused digits, dirt brushed off the green and yellow item before it’s tucked neatly in the pockets of one’s haori.
Yuuta Kurosaki is the only son gifted to Yuu and Setsuna during the time of their marriage. Born four years in to their marriage in the Spring, the couple were delighted and proved to be outstanding parents. Doting upon their child, the parents would often come ashore to spend time with him. When out at sea, he was left behind with Yuu’s father and mother.
When Yuu passed away, Yuuta was just a boy of three. His memory of the scarred being that was his father is hazy, but Setsuna does all she can to help him remember. And the woman makes sure to often remind the boy that his father loved him dearly.
He remains with his Grandparents, now going on his fifth year. There, he receives a proper education, and tutelage in the way of the sword. Eagerly, he waits to see his mother, and to beg that she talk of her adventures whilst promising to join her aboard the Red Empress once old enough. And though the life of a pirate is a straining one, to see her boy’s face as she treks up the stairs of her in-laws domain, all worries are pushed away from heart.
Because women are prohibited from bearing katanas in Japan, Setsuna views it wise to familiarize herself with any other weapons she has at her disposal. Though not able to use the sword of Samurai, she is skilled with shorter blades such as Tantō and it’s variations. The smaller size makes it lighter, and much more easy to wield. With quick swipes and light steps, she is easily able to do damage with such blades. For safe keeping, her First Mate holds a Wakizashi on his person for her in case of emergency.
She also holds minor knowledge of Naginata and Yari, such skills are greatly lacking.
But her best skill is certainly wielding her Razor Wires. There are spools hidden all above her person: around both wrists, ankles, even around her neck and down betwixt her breasts. Should she find herself in a bind, these wires will certainly be of aid. Whether for long ranged assaults, escaping, or mixed in with close range combat the metal twine has served her well.
And let’s not forget her fists, shall we? A pirate can always rely on their body, should no weapon be present. Though with not much martial arts training, she does have brash and unpredictable moves tied in with quick feet. She may not be able to defeat an armed individual with fists alone, but one can be damned sure she’ll try her best to obtain a weapon or disarm her opponent using her limbs.
